Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Can my child make an appointment if they are not a member?

Generally, no. Our clinic is designed to serve a small panel of members closely. However, Dr. Khait offers limited intake visits for mental health, anxiety, depression, ADHD, autism, and behavioral health. Please contact us directly for details.

Do you take insurance?

We do not bill insurance directly. If you have a PPO plan, we can provide a superbill that you may submit for partial reimbursement. The only payments collected by our office are membership dues.

Do I need insurance?

Yes. We strongly recommend maintaining active insurance, ideally a PPO. Insurance remains important for medications, imaging, laboratory testing, specialist visits, and emergency or hospital care.

Can I use my HSA or FSA to pay for a membership?

Yes. Membership fees are HSA-eligible, and in some cases FSA funds may also qualify.

Do you offer vaccines?

Because we maintain a small patient panel, we’re unable to store or administer vaccines onsite. We’re happy to help coordinate care with a trusted partner clinic or pharmacy and ensure records are updated.

Do you accept walk-ins?

No. Members may reach out through our secure messaging system to arrange same-day or next-day visits when needed.

How can I reach you?

Messages are actively monitored, and our typical response time is under one hour.

When should I take my child to the ER?

If you’re unable to reach Dr. Khait and your parental instinct tells you your child is very ill, please go to the emergency room. During clinic hours, you may also message Dr. Khait for guidance.

What if my doctor is on vacation?

Families are notified in advance. During time away, Dr. Khait typically schedules around travel, provides virtual care when possible, and may arrange coverage if needed.

How do I cancel my membership?

Please provide written notice at least 30 days before your next billing date. There are no cancellation fees.

How do I join the practice?

Contact Alba, our Director of Patient Care, to schedule a meet-and-greet. If it’s a good mutual fit, we’ll onboard your child—no contract, no sign-up fee, just a simple monthly membership.
